This is one 2011 GT500 Shelby Mustang in near perfect condition. I know there are a few of these for sale here on Ebay but this one is special for a couple of reasons. First it has a Ford Platinum extended warranty good til 1/18/2018 or 100, 000 miles This warranty is transferable and provides almost bumper to bumper coverage. And second, it is a stripe delete car which means it has no stripe on the body, on the seats or shifter. I don’t really like stripes. The car is completely stock with no modifications at all. I bought it as a Ford Certified Used Car from Encinitas Ford in Encinitas California with 11, 175 miles on it. I’ve had the car for about 2 years and in that time put about 7500 miles on it. The Shelby is a fifth car for us so it only gets driven on nice days and doesn’t get parked in crappy places. I treat the thing like the collector’s toy that it truly is. I usually drive it once a week on about a 45 mile round trip. The car now has 18991 miles on it and it and runs and drives perfectly. It burns no oil and makes all the power it should. It actually makes far more power than the rear tires can handle. This is not a beginner’s car. The car is very fast. And for those of you who have never heard one of these things in full song, it sounds better than any car I’ve ever owned. Even better than my 2006 Z06. This Shelby is mechanically perfect. I am very particular about this car and I make sure it works as it should. There is no play or slop in the steering wheel. It does not shake or vibrate at freeway speeds nor does it pull to one side when you let go of the wheel. The clutch engages right where it should and does not slip or chatter in any way. The car has obviously been babied by me and its previous owners. And for all those who will ask about the first to second shift, there is no grind or clunk whatsoever even when shifting at higher rpms; this car has been treated very well. There are no scratches or scrapes or any kind or curb rash on the wheels. The car does have a couple of very small nicks on the edge of the driver’s door and one on the leading edge of the hood. But they are so small I’d probably have to show them to you to see them. When I bought the car the front tires were worn a bit more than I thought was appropriate for a Certified car so I had the dealership replace them. These cars are set up with a good amount of negative camber so the front tires do wear in about 15000 miles. The rear tires are at their wear bars and will need to be replaced in the next 5000 miles. I have read many stories about these things being used as burnout machines so I checked the rear wheel wells with a flashlight before buying the car. They are clean. At 15000 miles I changed the oil myself with Ford synthetic oil and an SVT filter. When I was under the car, I looked at everything with a flashlight. There are no leaks period. The interior of the car is very close to perfect. I am very particular about the condition of the driver’s seat when I buy a car. As you can see from the pictures the driver’s seat is nearly perfect. That means the bolsters are free from wear and the thigh bolster feels just as tight and solid as the one in the passenger seat. I’m very careful when I get in or out of the car. For that reason, the seat feels just like one in a new Shelby. There are no stains or rips in any of the interior surfaces. I always leave the windows closed when I park the car so it still smells like a new Shelby on the inside. This car comes equipped with navigation and the Ford Sync system. Which means it has voice activated nav and Bluetooth and an internal hard drive capable of storing 40 GB of information. It’s a pretty trick system. The rear seats and passenger seat are perfect. The rear seats fold down and make the car pretty useful for carrying cargo. Although I never did. The car is parked in my climate controlled and carpeted garage every night. It comes with a Shelby car cover that is immaculate because I have rarely used it. I just renewed the registration in January and I possess a clean and clear California title in hand.
